Exosome Therapy in Erectile Dysfunction
3 October 2025Application and Effects of ESWT
One of the innovative regenerative treatment methods we use for erectile dysfunction is shockwave therapy, also known as ESWT.
In this method, low-intensity sound waves are applied to the penis. Through the pulses delivered at specific intervals, new blood vessel formation within the penile tissue is stimulated, which increases blood flow to the penis. In this way, we aim to achieve permanent healing of damaged erectile tissue.
This procedure does not involve needles or surgical intervention. It is completely painless, and patients can immediately return to their daily activities after treatment. Especially in cases of mild to moderate erectile dysfunction caused by vascular problems, ESWT has been shown to provide improvement rates of 50% to 75%.
We typically administer the therapy twice a week for three weeks, making a total of six sessions. Afterward, we schedule a three-week break and invite the patient for a follow-up. If necessary, a second course of six sessions can be performed.
Each session lasts approximately 15–20 minutes. The therapeutic effects of ESWT usually begin to appear within 4 to 6 weeks after starting the sessions.
